Our Biblical text for this year is drawn from Ezekiel 47: 1- 12, which portrays God’s life-giving water flowing from the temple of God. The river grows deeper and deeper restoring barren land, reviving waters, and sustaining flourishing ecosystems. The vision invites human responsibility: recognising ecological damage, embracing interconnectedness, we are called to immerse ourselves in the water, and actively safeguarding and working for the renewal of creation so that environmental healing and human well-being may flourish together.

Every year in September, the Diocese of Edmonton raises money to purchase medical cards for households in our partner diocese in Burundi

Each $5 we raise gives an adult and all children in their care access to medical care and 80% off medical bills for a year. Many of these households are led by grandmothers caring for orphaned grandchildren. They survive by subsistence farming and often can’t afford necessities. The Diocese of Buyé has identified access to medical cards as the most pressing need in the communities they serve. In 2025, we raised enough to provide life-changing medical care to 1451 households. Let’s keep it up!

You can donate in September at your church and on our website. There are no administration fees, so 100% of your gift goes directly to families in need.

The work to repair the shed roof at St A's has been completed.

New fascia, soffits and shingles have been installed - our space is now weather resistant again and all items safe from the elements.

The tree beside the shed / annex has also been cut down which will protect our foundations.

The closing date for the position of full time rector at St A's has closed.

We expect to be receiving applications, for suitable candidates, from the Bishop by Friday 11th September.

The Search Committee will be meeting on Sunday 13th September to begin reviewing applications.

Simple Supper is a community meal served in the St A's Lower Hall.  It is a home cooked meal and dessert, along with tea, coffee and juice / punch.

Simple Supper is volunteer run, with people chipping in where possible.

This year I am looking for volunteers interested in helping with the dishes / clean up each month.  It is a big job, so I am hopping to have 3 people come and enjoy the meal then stay to help clean up afterwards.

All Saints' Cathedral (10035 103 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5J 0X5) is looking for individuals interested in serving the wider community on Thursday mornings in October-March, from 8 am to 10 am, through our community breakfast ministry. Ministry includes preparing and serving breakfast and providing a warm, safe space for the community to gather throughout the cold months of the year.  

If you are interested in participating in this volunteer ministry, please contact Dean Alex at dean@allsaintscathedral.ca.

Volunteers may spend time visiting residents, offering companionship, listening to life stories, supporting spiritual practices when appropriate, or simply helping someone feel seen and connected. Volunteers from a variety of faith traditions, as well as those comfortable supporting people of different or no religious backgrounds, are welcome.

This is a meaningful opportunity to build relationships, learn from the wisdom of older adults, and help residents remain connected to the greater Edmonton community.

Older Adult Fitness Class - Wednesdays 10am - 11am in the Social Room (no class on 11th November)

An affordable, safe and fun fitness class for older adults with a focus on Muscular Strength, Balance and Flexibility.

The class is led by Maggie Nichol, certified fitness instructor

Fee:  $80 for 12 classes

Registration on Wednesday 9th September at 9.30am in the Sunshine Room

Seated Fitness Class - Wednesdays 11.15am - 12pm in the Social Room (no class on 11th November)

This shorter class will focus on mobility, strength and balance for those with mobility issues due to injury or illness and / or pain due to arthritis or other medical issues.  Exercises will be primarily seated. 

The class is led by Maggie Nichol, certified fitness instructor

Fee:  $60 for 12 classes

The GriefShare Program is a 13 week Christian based video and workbook based program that discusses the stages of grief and helps you move through your journey.

You can come to all sessions or a few. Videos available online if you are unable to come to every session. 

Facilitators from Grace United Church will be there to watch the videos with you and guide group discussions. All discussions are confidential.
