Rector's StewardSt Augustine's Leadership Team is changing this fall Stephen McAuley will be stepping back from his position as Rector's Steward in October. At this time, Anita Slomp will take over as Interim Rector's Steward. As the Rector's Steward is appointed by the incumbent, Anita's position will be renewed in conversation with the new rector. We are grateful for Steve's leadership, especially during the search process, and we wish him and Amanda all the best as they welcome their new baby. Many thanks to Anita for being willing to serve in this capacity Rev. Stephanie |

Harvest Thanksgiving at St A'sCan you Help with Items to Decorate the Sanctuary / Spare Some Time? On Saturday, October 10 at 2:00pm, we will be decorating St. Augustine’s for Harvest Thanksgiving. We will be taking donations of vegetables & fruits such as pumpkins, carrots, gourds apples etc. or flowers to decorate the Alter. Anything you can offer would be greatly appreciated. As well, we would welcome anyone who could assist us with this. It always looks so beautiful and will only take an hour or so of your time. Thank you so much St. Augustine’s Altar Guild |

Deacons to Collect Winter Gear at Synod
This year, at the Diocesan Synod in October, the deacons will have an outreach table to collect items for our ecumenical inner-city ministry, the Sanctuary of Peace. Please encourage your church to collect items and drop them off (or send them with a Synod delegate) at All Saints' Cathedral on Friday, October 23, beginning at 5:00 pm. Here is the list of winter needs from the Sanctuary of Peace:
We ask that you send items in muted shades of grey or black as much as possible, as that is the preference of our friends on the street. Please avoid brightly coloured knit items. Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. - Matthew 25:40 |

YEGByrds Present “Dance Music” at Good ShepherdSunday 4th October 2026 Listen to a concert called "Dance Music" by community band The YEGByrds on Sunday October 4th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Good Shepherd, 15495 Castle Downs Road, Edmonton. In their own words, The YEGByrds are “a group of seasoned Edmonton musicians who simply love bringing great music to life. Our sound is a blend of the songs we grew up with and the classics that never go out of style—from the smooth lounge vibes of Ella Fitzgerald and Norah Jones to the upbeat, brass-filled energy of The Beatles and Chicago. … We aim to be a band that brings a little extra joy to every stage we’re invited to share.” |
