Tax Receipts for 2024

Tax Receipts for 2024

Tax receipts have finally been received from our current bookkeeper.

Those who have email registered with the parish should have received their receipt via this method.  If anyone needs a paper copy, please let me know and I will get one posted on to you; those who have already stated this do not have to re contact.  Those without email will have their receipt posted directly on to them.

There are some receipts that were not done correctly so have been returned to the bookkeeper for adjustment; I am hoping these will be back with me this weekend.

Those who have contributed via tithe.ly, I am still waiting for clarification from the bookkeeper as these are sent out via her office.  If you contribute via tithe.ly and have yet to receive a receipt please let me know so I can chase this.

For those who have contributed via tithe.ly and another method, your receipts are still being prepared.

It has been a long process this year but for 2025 things should work much more smoothly.

Cheryl

It is always a joy to read your comments, celebrating the ways that we supported transformative ministry.”

We are grateful to the lead donors who have championed this cause with donations totaling more than $100,000.”

Sacred Arts Legacy

The genesis of the Sacred Arts Trust was years in the making and was rooted in the late Graham Cotter’s years as a parish priest in the Diocese of Toronto. During those years, Graham promoted the making of liturgical vestments and the use of drama in worship. Since its inception, the trust has funded innovative faith-based projects in the performing and visual arts in more than thirteen dioceses.

Gifts of Securities

More and more Canadian Anglicans are choosing to make a gift of securities to AFC. By donating publicly traded securities, you eliminate the capital gains tax that you would have to pay if you sold the securities and then donated the proceeds. You’ll also receive a charitable tax receipt for your donation. Visit our website for more details.

Wednesday Night Sharing Circle

Wednesday Night Sharing Circle

Wednesday evenings via Zoom

On tap: "Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time" by Marcus Borg

Sharing in circle has a long history of transformation and community strength in both indigenous and addictions recovery traditions.

Sharing in circle allows us both opportunity to listen, and when our turn arrives, to speak.

A topic is raised each Wednesday in the realms of Faith, Justice, Spirituality, and Action in the Christian tradition that we are invited to reflect on and share if we wish.

Rev. Jonathan usually facilitates the circle.  Please contact him for the zoom access: rector@staugustinesedmonton.com

We have used books, video, or individual presentations as our 'prompts' for the evening.

"Doors" open at 7:45pm, process begins at 8pm-9pm.  The zoom stays on until 9:30pm latest for those who want to chat more.

GATHERING AROUND THE KITCHEN TABLE

GATHERING AROUND THE KITCHEN TABLE

Thursday afternoons 1.30pm - 2.45pm A Zoom Event

I'm so happy that it is time to gather again.  Our weekly winter session will resume on Thursday, January 16th from 1:30 to 2:45 pm.  You are invited to gather together on Zoom to enjoy these informal afternoons with friends as we explore and reflect on various aspects of our life of faith--and how this informs the choices we make as we encounter the complex and sometimes confusing times that we live in.

Handouts will be sent by e-mail early each week to help bring a focus to our conversation.  So bring your coffee or tea or “whatever” and gather around our virtual kitchen table.

If you have any questions or want more information,  contact me at wildrosie7@gmail.com.  Please feel free to invite a friend to join us.
I'm looking forward to seeing you all each week.
