**Also, everyone is welcome to join the Friday, August 20th celebration and movie.  Hot dogs and camp songs start at 5pm.  Movie at 6pm.

BISSELL CENTRE LUNCH

Sunday, August 22

I will put in an update next week on what we have and what is still needed!

St. Augustine’s Church has been asked to provide lunch for Bissell Centre on Sunday, August 22. We have been partnered with St. Luke’s Anglican Church.   St. Augustine’s has been involved in this project with ICPM annually since 1985. If you can help with donations of any of the items below, it would be very much appreciated.

Donations may be dropped off at the Church on Thursdays between 10 am and 2 pm or Sundays 9:30 am to 12 pm.

If the above times do not work for you, please call June, 780 469-0733 to arrange an alternate day and time.

Requirements for 2021 are as follows:

Each church to provide to provide 100+ bags filled with the following:

- 1 juice box (pure juice best as beverage has added sugar).

Wednesday Night Sharing Circle

Wednesday Night Sharing Circle

Wednesday, August 4, 2021

Wednesday nights 8pm via the standard Zoom link

Spirituality is a personal thing.  Even if we ascribe to a common creed or practice, we each use different words to express our experience and we each come at faith and Spirit from a different personal history.  On Wednesday nights at St. Augustine's we are learning to value the aboriginal/recovery sharing circle as a tool to help one another on our journey.

Anyone may drop in at any time to this sharing circle.  We sometimes follow a book, but design the evenings in such a way that someone can join in even if they have not done that reading.  Please come on time if you can.

We begin at 8pm and end as close to 9:30pm as we can.

If you need the Zoom link or information on how to access this online circle, please contact us

at the office.

DIOCESE ENCOURAGED TO SUPPORT LYTTON

DIOCESE ENCOURAGED TO SUPPORT LYTTON

Acting Diocesan Administrator, the Venerable Lee Bezanson, has sent a letter to all parishes in the Edmonton diocese, encouraging us to pray for the village of Lytton, BC, and to consider supporting the relief effort there if possible. He has shared links to a Canada Helps page set up by St. Paul's Cathedral in Kamloops, a way to offer support through PWRDF, and a prayer that can be used in our individual and corporate worship. Please see his attached letter.

Join Edmonton Cursillo for a Walk Along the River

Edmonton Cursillo is heading to Fort Saskatchewan for an outdoor gathering August 20, from 5pm to 9pm. We will gather at the West River Edge Pavilion covered picnic area (with tables, fire pit and restrooms). Carpooling to Fort Sask is encouraged! This will be a wonderful opportunity for us to reconnect and share the bounty and beauty of our river valley. Our program will include a short walk and talk with a local elder and a smudge.

If permitted, we'll also have a fire-pit and sing along! POSTER
