Strawberry Moon
June's full Strawberry Moon reached it's peak on the early morning of Wednesday the 11th. Other names for this Moon include the Honey Moon and the Mead Moon. June was also traditionally the month of marriage and is even named after the Roman goddess of marriage - Juno. It's name has been used by Native American tribes to mark the ripening of 'June-bearing' strawberries that are ready to be gathered. This is the final Full Moon of spring for this year, and the first 'normal' sized Full Moon after a string of three micromoons in March, April, and May. |

COME AND GATHER ROUND THE KITCHEN TABLE -Thursday, June 19 - 1:30-2:45 A Zoom Event Greeting Gatherers!
It seems that May slipped into June quite quickly – the Summer Solstice is near. It is definitely time to wrap up our thoughts and reflections on Barbara Brown Taylor’s book, “Learning to Walk in the Dark. We will also have some time to talk about what we might want to discuss in September.
A number of you are on holiday but I will send a handout to all who have participated this year to keep you in the loop.
See you all then.
Anne
