At different times this group has been involved with the Greater Edmonton Allicance, and is currently focused on supporting several local community initiative. In the past the social justice branch of St. Augustines has:
- participated in land-protection actions at City Hall
- Fostering in-home supports for seniors with City administration
- Organizing a free community christmas meal with 13 other churches
- Organizing political candidate forums
- Connecting with residents of Morningstar for meal-sharing
- collecting goods for ICPM, Bissell, and the Food Bank
