There are many ways to give...Your generosity means the world to someone in need. The month of December at St. Augustine’s for many years has seen a strong commitment to support the very necessary work of the Edmonton Food Bank. During this time of Covid, many more families and individuals struggle to get by. It is important, during this time of covid, to renew this commitment in a very generous way. If you would like to donate money, please do in the usual way through cheque or online with Tithley. Another way to give this month of December if you prefer:There is a continued need for your generosity in purchasing Grocery gift cards for the Rector’s Benevolent Fund. Please drop off at the church office. |

Grandmothers Online Store is OPEN for business
Due to COVID the Edmonton Grandmothers group (of which I am a member(Lauretta H.)) was unable to have an in person Shakers and Makers Market again this year ... that's the bad news ... the good news is that we are back online. Crafters have been busy for months creating new and different articles to stock the store shelves. Click on this link to start shopping https:/edmgrandmothers.org/welcome-to-our-online-store/.
We have a wonderful selection of Christmas, birthday and "gift to yourself" items! The store features many unique objects with new, original, one-of-a-kind items being added almost daily. Don't wait to start your shopping - MOST selections are "one only items" and won't last long! New this year will be the option of paying either with a credit card or by etransfer.
The Eastside Grannies, from Sherwood Park, are once again partnering with The GANG to stock this store! We appreciate all their hard work to help us make this happen.
Visit often - you never know when you'll find the PERFECT item for yourself or someone you love. And you'll know you're helping to support a worthy cause ...100% of the proceeds go to The Stephen Lewis Foundation's Grandmothers Campaign https://grandmotherscampaign.org/
Thanks as always for your support - and for helping us to spread the word!

The Lodgepole Market
A weekly market offering fresh produce and baking at market prices, as well employment, mentoring and skills-development opportunities, is now operating out of PrayerWorks Hall in the Alberta Avenue community. The Lodgepole Market runs every Wednesday, from 12:30 to 2 pm, in the parish of St. Faith’s, 11725-93 Street in Edmonton. Lodgepole Market Coordinator Albert Hamelin says, in addition to fruits, vegetables, sourdough bread and cookies, the market will eventually expand to include the products of local vendors and live performances by entertainers. The market initiative complements the PrayerWorks ministry which provides free, community meals every Thursday, Friday and Saturday with the support of Edmonton’s Food Bank, as well as parishes of the diocese, and other faith and community organisations. Donations to the Lodgepole Market and PrayerWorks ministry are gratefully accepted and can be made online, c/o St. Faith’s: https://stfaithsanglican.org/donate Watch the December edition of The Messenger for the full story. |
