We walk with Christ, as Christ walks with us.
st. Augustine’s Anglican Church – 6110 Fulton Rd, Edmonton, AB
10am March 29 – Palm/Passion Sunday
We gather downstairs and remember the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem with palm branches waving.
As we process upstairs we enter into the self-giving and suffering that his entry into that city truly brought.
5:30pm April 2 – Maundy Thursday Seder supper and Holy Eucharist
Jesus gathered his friends at table and ate with them the night before his death.
He knelt at the meal and washed their feet.
Yet at his arrest, they betrayed him.
1:30pm April 3 – Good Friday Stations of the Cross
Following his trial and condemnation, Jesus of Nazareth was crucified between two thieves and died by the evening. Why is this a ‘good’ death? Christians for centuries have seen in this innocent man’s death the freely-given compassion of God entering into our darkest sorrows and fears.
The Son of God faced this for us?
**KIDS – We are joining again with Holy Trinity for their stations of the cross for children. 10037-84th Ave, 10 AM.
8-10pm April 4 – A Joint Vigil of Easter with St. Mary’s, St. Patrick’s, and St. David’s held at St. Augustine’s.
The news rings out: Christ is risen from the dead. Let us rise and go to meet him.
We remember how baptism calls us into a new life, a new way of being in the world.
8am and 10am April 5 – Easter Day and the blessing of Easter baskets.
The community gathers to celebrate new life in Christ in Holy Communion together.
The Liturgical Season of Easter is 50 days – Join us on Sundays as we continue our celebration.
“Learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and you will find rest for your souls.” – Matthew 11:29
