ENCOUNTERS – Sunday morning study group that meets @ 8:30 am in the Lounge downstairs.

Morning Prayers – No morning prayers over the holidays – they will continue as shown below, in the new year.

Monday thru Friday – 08:45 am in the Chapel.

Monday – Lectio Divina on upcoming Sunday Gospel reading.

Tuesday – Holy Communion

Wed/Thu/Fri – Simple Anglican Morning Prayer

TUESDAY AT BLU’S – Please join us for conversation and fellowship. We usually meet on the first and third Tuesday mornings of the month. Next meeting – Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 10:00 am.

BOOK CLUB – Meets the last Tuesday of the month in the Church Lounge at 10:30 am.

BISSELL CENTRE – SUNDAY, JANUARY 20TH at the church at 10:00 am Please mark your calendar for – Saturday, January 19th – We hope to have a work party available to make sandwiches. We will be working with Stratheran United Church.  The items noted below is approx. 50% of amount required:

  • 10 loaves egg sandwiches – celery but NO ONIONS
  • 10 loaves tuna or salmon – NO ONIONS
  • 20 loaves meat with cheese
  • 200 pieces of dessert                      – 100 pieces fresh fruit – whole/cut
  • 150 pieces of veggies                     – pickles 1 large sweet & 2 dill
  • 1 tin coffee/ 2 lbs                                                            – 1 tin creamer 1.4 kg
  • 1 pkg sugar 2 kg                                                               – 1 tin juice crystals 2.3 kg
  • 100 juice packs or 100 small water bottes
  • Serviettes – 1 pkg/250                   – lots of clean plastic bags
  • Plastic gloves – medium & large
  • FROM CHURCH – 10 tea towels & 5 dish cloths
  • A sign-up sheet will be available in January
  • Donations of any of the food items would be app0reciated,
  • Especially the hard-boiled eggs.
  • Help to purchase & pick up the remaining food items would also be appreciated.

Reminder to book any space you need at the church through the church office, so it can be checked against the master calendar.

The church office is open Monday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 and Thursday mornings from 9:00 to 2:00.  Any mail for the office? Please drop it in the office mailbox (in the other building), or in the ‘Admin’ mailbox downstairs.  There is also a form for cheque requisitions if you have receipts to submit for payment.

Bishop Jane invites us to pray for Bishop Sixbert & the Diocese of Buye.

PARTNERS IN SAVING LIVES –DONATE BLOOD – Our Partner ID for Diocese is ANGL696986. Diocese hopes to raise 150 donations by Dec.31, 2018. To donate call 1 888 236-6283. Donations are urgently needed – we are running out of time!  Please call and donate.



CAPILANO PLAYSCHOOL – JANUARY 26, 2019 – TRIAL CLASS & OPEN HOUSE – 3 – 4 YEAR OLDS – SEE details on notice board.

MUSIC TOGETHER – Kid’s music program. Most Monday and Thursday mornings at the church.

Sound Opportunity – Wednesday evenings at 7 pm

GANG – Grandmothers of Alberta for a New Generation (GANG) works with the Stephen Lewis Foundation to support African grandmothers raising their grandchildren because of AIDS. An awareness, advocacy and fundraising group.

Education for Ministry – Thursday nights – a four- year certificate in theology.

GEA-Greater Edmonton Alliance – organization of Faith Groups, Unions, Community Action Groups and Small Businesses ‘organizing for the common good’ to give the public a voice in decision making that affects their lives.
