Advent I – where has God been for you today?

Where was God for me today? We said:

  • Driving the whitemud!! God was with me, behind & ahead of me!
  • Words: “‘listen’ to your heart”
  • God brought us here together in our church community and helped us to see what things and beliefs we hold dear
  • On the highway keeping us safe
  • In housing our homeless
  • In robyn’s successful surgery
  • In the willingness of this congregation to help
  • In the quiet and light and space for reflection
  • In this Parish family
  • In peace and fellowship
  • Words: “Joy beholds our community in joy and faith”
  • In this service today, God has been made alive in me
  • When I come in Megan’s beautiful smile both encouraged and inspired me.
  • God is giving me strength on the days I need it.
  • At 7:30 last evening we were snow bound. When we came here this morning the parking lot and roads around were cleaned of snow! Thanks be to God!
  • The message to keep space for God’s Day and not fill with something less.
  • Love of neighbors and friends
  • God gave me strength and guidance when I most needed it
  • In new faces
  • In friendly smiles
  • In the sermon “be awake” “ATTEND” to the coming of the cosmic Christ.
  • God is in joy.
  • God was in the hugs & handshakes I received during the peace.
  • Words: “prepare the Way, O Zion, your Christ is drawing near.
  • This morning I have met God in the presence of community, different news on what we see, how important it is to help each other to meet the Lord and await his coming together in singing his praise.
  • In our laughter and smiles.
